The Jamaica Labour Party candidate for the South East St Mary constituency Dr Norman Dunn is declaring to the People’s National Party (PNP) that the constituency is tired of their promises and pledges and overall tired of them.
In response to a statement made by defeated former Member of Parliament (MP) for the constituency Harry Douglas; Dunn lashed back by stating that Douglas no credibility in the constituency and ran away from his responsibilities before fulfilling several of the promises he made to the people.
“The Devon Road community was promised better roads while he was their representative and those roads are still in disrepair. That’s what I will be bringing to South East St Mary. Not 22 years of promises like Douglas, I will be getting things Dunn;” the JLP candidate stated in a release.
He went further to state the Harry Douglas has no influence in the constituency after being sent into retirement by Tarn Peralto in 2007.
“I don’t need to pretend to care like the PNP. I am a son of South East St Mary. What affects them affects me. I was born and raised here and not selected from outside. I am a member of the Annotto Bay family; raised in South East St Mary and that is what makes me their best candidate;” Dunn explained.
He continued to highlight that there has been decades of promises from the PNP and nothing more but talking time is over.
