Basil Waite to represent PNP in Northeast St. Elizabeth

LBC NEWS understand that Basil Waite will be the standard bearer for the next general Elections in Northeast St. Elizabeth. He defeated Former Mayor of Black River Everton Fisher in a runoff to replace outgoing Member of Parliament Evon Redman.

Waite polled 576 to Fisher 271.

Northeast St Elizabeth is considered a safe PNP seat.

In the run-up to the runoff tensions were rising and spill over today when supporters of Everton Fisher accused the PNP Hierarchy of colluding with the Waite camp to ensure he wins.
