The perennial problem of lack of mobility for the Black River police in Southwestern St. Elizabeth, has been alleviated to a large degree with the addition of a vehicle from the Government fleet of preowned vehicles.

During discussions between Member of Parliament Floyd Green and the commanding officers about some of the issues hindering the Divisional team in the fight against crime, the lack of adequate transportation resources was brought to his attention.

He made representation to the National Security Minister, Robert Montaque and he provided a new motor vehicle from the Ministry’s new pre-owned motor vehicle fleet.

The vehicle will aid significantly in the Police push to rid the Division of criminals who are preying on the vulnerable.
