With the search coming to a close for the new Commissioner of Police, and the rumour mill flying as who will get the nod, LBC NEWS understands that Major General Anderson is set to be appointed the next Commissioner of Police.

Sources within the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) is saying that Major Anderson is set to get three soldiers with him. One for intel and two as his Deputy’s. He is also getting one ACP as a staff officer. We haven’t heard as yet the names of the three persons. If confirmed,it would mean that the top brass of the JCF for the first time in history will be headed by Army men.

Major Anderson is well regarded in military circles and would come to the job with a lot of good will. If he should be named Police Commissioner, it would be interesting to see how the JCF rank and file reacts to his appointment.
