Grace Kennedy Group Chief Executive Officer, Don Wehby, says he and the GK Group have turned over to their lawyers electronic communication which contains false allegations against him and First Global Bank.

First Global is the commercial bank associated with the Grace Kennedy Group.

Mr. Wehby says the allegations contained in the smear electronic message are “false, malicious and very damaging” to Grace Kennedy and his personal reputation.

The Grace Kennedy Group CEO and Government Senator said the smear message has also been turned over to the Police. Senator Wehby was speaking to the media today.

Nationwide radio disclosed yesterday that the smear message which contains damning allegations and went viral on several social media platforms including WhatsApp has resulted in PNP Communication Director, Colin Campbell, facing the threat of a multi-million dollar lawsuit.

The threat of litigation came from the Attorney for West Portland Member of Parliament and Cabinet Minister, Daryl Vaz, who gave Campbell seven (7) days to apologize and discuss compensation.

On Saturday, Vaz’s Attorney, Queens Counsel George Soutar, wrote Campbell and accused the PNP Communication Director of distributing the smear message.

Mr. Campbell is quoted in the print media today as stating that the message did not originate with him. Campbell said the issue is out of his hands and has been referred to his lawyers, Knight, Junor and Samuels.
