Gun drawn on Labour Party supporter in Southeast St.Mary

St. Mary, Jamaica-

As the final days of campaigning comes down to election day in the battle ground seat of Southeast St. Mary, the campaign seems to be descending further into violence.

LBC NEWS has received reports of an altercation between a PNP Councillor and a Supporter of the JLP where a Gun was drawn.

Reports to our Newsroom is that a Councillor from outside of the Constituency pulled his gun on a JLP supporter who was an impromptu selector at a dance in Castleton about after 2 AM Thursday morning.

Its understood that the selector was in the process of  “biggin up” the present JLP Members of Parliament and Councillors present,when the incident happened.

Its alledge the particular politician started cursing and proceeded to pulled out his gun. It is further understood that one of his colleagues and a JLP Member of Parliament had to step in front of him to prevent him from possibly shooting the selector.

He left the scene then shortly came back.

It’s further understood that his fit of rage may have come because he was seen spending 10,000 dollars on “Money Pull ups” at the said function

The matter is said to have been reported to the police who came on the scene later.
