Prime Minister Holness took a jab at Opposition Leader, Dr. Peter Phillips who’s been facing backlash for alleging that there’s a massive $1.6-billion rip off scheme in St. Thomas perpetrated by the Rural Agricultural Development Authority, (RADA). Holness said there is an American saying that says: “When Your Opponent Is Falling, Step Out Of The Way.”

Prime Minister Holness says he’s committed to strengthening the framework in Jamaica to deal with corruption which he says has been a challenge.

Prime Minister Holness was asked whether a General Election will be held next year following the successful staging of the JLP’s annual conference on Sunday. Mr. Holness would not be drawn on a date only saying it’s clear that we are in Election season.
