I was kept in the dark: livid DPP Paula Llewellyn slams MOCA

Director of Public Prosecutions, Paula Llewellyn says her office was not further consulted prior to the pre-dawn operations this morning by the Police which led to former Education Minister Ruel Reid being detained.

Recently, the DPP had given a written opinion on the matter.

According to that document, the DPP had confirmed that as a result of the assessment, the office provided the FID, with a detailed thirteen paged document which includes a legal opinion, guidance and recommendations.

The FID hadn’t sought further consultation on the DPP’s opinion before its operations this morning.

The DPP says she finds this unusual.
