The Jamaica Labour Party, JLP, is in full control of St. Thomas following yesterday’s general elections where James Robertson and Dr. Michelle J Charles were elected members of Parliament for the Parish.

Robertson turned back the challenge of Marsha Francis for a second straight election – to secure his 5th straight term as member of Parliament for St. Thomas Western.
Robertson secured 8,299 of the votes to Francis’ 5423.

He says he has gained the respect and trust of the people of the constituency through his hard work.

On his way to six terms, Dr. Ferguson defeated Pearnel Charles and Dr. Patrece Charles-Freeman.

Dr. Michelle Charles says her victory is made even sweeter knowing that she avenged defeat of her father and sister.
