Jamaicans will be going to the polls on Thursday, September 3. The revelation was made by prime minister Andrew Holness in the House of Representatives a short while ago.
Nomination Day will be on August 18.
The Nation’s parliament will be dissolved on August 13.
The prime minister said that no government has enjoyed such high approval ratings in the history of Jamaica. He said it is because of the sustained performance of the Government and the good grace of the lord almighty why the JLP has been able to be so popular even with the Covid-19 pandemic.
He outlined a raft of achievements of the Government, including the 1.5 Million Dollars Tax Package, and extensive infrastructure development.
