More Jamaicans rate Holness higher than Phillips polls find

Prime Minister Andrew Holness is leading Dr. Peter Phillips in every age category in South East St. Mary according to a major poll.The polling was done by Trinidadian Pollster Derrick Ramsamoogh. The Polling showed that in the

18-25 age group Holness has an approval rating 62.9% to Phillips 42.9 per cent.

26-30 Holness is up 58.1 to Phillips 38,

31-40-Holness is up 54.39 to Phillips 42

41-51 Holness is up 54 to Phillips 39 percent respectively.

Overall the Prime Minister has a satisfactory ratings of 61% point. He is leading Peter Phillips by 15 percentage point.

On the issue of Decisiveness Holness lead by a massive 21 percentage point. On trust Holness leads by 12 percentage points.

Candidate Positions?

Dr. Dunn is leading the PNP Shane Alexis 54-36 percent. On the matter of who is connecting more with voters, Dr. Dunn leads 54-45 percentage points.

In responding to the poll results, JLP General Secretary Dr Horace Chang says the numbers were expected based on the work that the party has done since in office.

“We have done a lot of work and the people of South East St Mary recognize this. Our leader has been exemplary and this is reflected in the acceptance by the people of his modern leadership,” Chang stated.

The poll was conducted on Monday and Tuesday of this week and sampled 1700 voters from South East St Mary with a margin of plus or minus 5 percent by Caribbean Development Strategies.

The Caribbean Development Strategies pollsters were also the most accurate polling outfit for the 2017 General Elections in Jamaica.
