The leader of the Opposition PNP, Peter Phillips is been told by Jamaicans they are much better off than two years ago when the pnp was in power, in a Twitter poll he put up on his Official Twitter account. The poll question asked Jamaicans: Are you better off today than two years ago.

After more than Seven hours of voting, 60% of respondents says they are much better off since the JLP took over two years ago.

This represents another black eye for Phillips who since taking over the PNP has had a string of electoral defeats at the hands of the JLP.

The intent of the poll is quite evident. Phillips was expecting more Jamaicans to say they are less well off. It’s has so far backfired spectacularly!

This poll comes on the heels of LBC NEWS reporting earlier today that the poverty rate is now at a Ten year low, having fallen 17% since the Labour party took over in 2016.

Update.

As of 5:00 PM the post is no longer available on Twitter. Just before the post was taken down, it was hovering just under 70% of respondents who say they are better off than Two years ago.
