Massive ammunition find by Police

The Denham Town Police seized over 1000 rounds of ammunition during an operation at Calvary Cemetery on Lyndhurst Road, Kingston 5 on Wednesday, March 14.

Reports are that about 6:04 a.m., while conducting the operation, Police officers saw men in the cemetery who aroused their suspicion. When the lawmen attempted to accost the men, they ran. During a subsequent search of the area, a black knapsack containing the following was seized:
• One holster
• Four magazines
• One hundred and thirty two 12-gauge cartridges
• One hundred and ten 7.62 rounds
• Ninety-one .308 rounds
• Two hundred and twenty-eight .38 rounds and
• Five hundred and ninety-nine .44 rounds of ammunition

The investigation continues.
