The Opposition People’s National Party (PNP) Communications Director Former Press Association of Jamaica (PAJ) Head and Former Journalist at the Gleaner, Jenni Campbell has labeled young people who identify with the term ‘Brogad’ as hoodlums.
In an extraordinary exchange on Social media, a lady asked who was a Brogad, a term used by young people to describe their genuine friends, she said that the term is Street talk among hoodlums.
She doubled down on the comments in a response to Nesta Morgan on Twitter she said that they are all Hoodlums!
What the Director of Communications for the PNP, who speaks on behalf of the entire PNP, just said is that thousands of young men especially who identifies with popular culture, and uses the term Brogad is nothing but a bunch of hoodlums. The meaning of hoodlums quite simply means somebody who is of no good to society and is worthy of being thrown in jail, or worse. Since she speaks officially for the Opposition PNP it is safe to say the official view of young people in the eyes of the PNP is that they are all Hoodlums.
