Police bag multiple guns across the country on Friday

M16 found in St. James

As the police continues in their attempts to secure the country, the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF), is reporting the seizure of a number of guns on Friday.

In St. James which is under a State of Emergency, the police says the Joint Security Forces  seized a M16 Rifle and a magazine containing one 5.56 round on Campbell’s Lane in Mount Salem, St. James on Friday August 3.

In another incident in Kingston the police said they shot a man fatally during a confrontation on Chancery Lane, Kingston about 10:00 pm on Friday, August 3. Two firearms and a eight rounds of ammunition were seized following the incident.
