As the Police tries to get a handle on murders in Jamaica they have made a significant breakthrough with a large amount of guns and ammunition find earlier today.

Between 11:00am and 4:00pm today 9/10/17 the police carried out a snap operation at Bert 7 warehouse at the Wharf resulting in the seizure of a number of guns and a quantity of ammunition stacked among shipment of food items shipped from Georgia USA.

No one was reported arrested for the find. Investigations is underway in the matter.

This find follows up on a number of other successes in removing guns and ammunition off the Nation’s streets and is a stark reminder of the amount of guns entering the Island through our ports and along our porous borders.
