Police finds guns and make arrest in busy 48 hours

Kingston, Jamaica.

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) is reporting a busy Forty-Eight hours in their fight to keep the nation safe. They are reporting that they have recovered one .45 Sig Sauer semi-automatic pistol along with a magazine containing six .45 cartridges was seized by the police and one man arrested in Spanish Town, St. Catherine.

In New Field Manchester, the police say they have recovered a 9mm Desert Eagle pistol, with one magazine containing four 9mm cartridges, was seized.

In Spanish Town, the police is reporting the arrest of Five men and the confiscation of one illegal Gun

Detectives attached to the Mobile Reserve and Counter-Terrorism and Organised Crime Divisions arrested and charged four men who are believed to be a part of the Clans Man Gang for illegal possession of firearm and ammunition on Orange Street on Monday, November 06.

Charged are:

  • Dwayne Frater, 34, higgler of Fairview Avenue, Spanish Town, St. Catherine,
  • Rolondo Hall, 27, labourer of Pheonix Park, Portmore St. Catherine,
  • Lamar Rowe, 21, mason of Lime Tree Grove, Spanish Town St. Catherine and
  • Sunmon McFarlane, 23, farmer of Capture Land, Spanish Town, St. Catherine.

Reports are that about 2:30 p.m., a blue Honda Odyssey motorcar in which the men were travelling was stopped. It along with its occupants was searched and two Glock pistols and thirty-six 9mm rounds of ammunition were found. The men were subsequently arrested and charged.

They are scheduled to appear before the Corporate Area Gun Court on Tuesday, November 14.
