Police Officers reassign over leaks on massive gun find

As the consequences of the massive Gun find in the United States recently of almost 200 Guns and assorted ammunition destined for Jamaica unfolds, reports are now circulating of a probe now underway inside the JCF over who leaked the information to the public before the JCF was ready to do so.

Its now understood that Superintendent Stephanie Lindsay has been transferred from her post of head of the Constabulary Communication Unit (CCU) to the St. Andrew Central Police following claims that information about theĀ  US gun find was inadvertently and prematurely released by CCU on twitter.

Sources close to her insist she did nothing wrong.

Furthermore it is also been reported that another police officer has been reassign over the Gun find information saga. Deputy Senior Superintendent Sam BlakeĀ from the NIB has been transferred following concern that he inadvertently did not redact sensitive information from the multi-paragraph detailed gun find brief sent by US to the NIB before he pass it on to CCU.

There is also a Probe underway into who leaked the brief on social media.
