Police seize more guns in Westmoreland

A team of officers assigned to the Westmoreland Police Division seized two firearms and an assorted rounds of ammunition on Dalling Street in the parish on Saturday, February 10. Three males and a female are in custody in connection with the seizure.

Reports are that about 5:45 a.m., lawmen were on operation in the area when a premises was searched and the following seized:
-Two Glock pistols
-Forty-two 9mm cartridges
-Twenty-one .40 cartridges
-Four magazines were seized.

The identities of the persons taken into custody are being withheld pending further investigations.
