Prime Minister Andrew Holness is vowing to bring order to the public transportation system in the wake of the state owned JUTC bus drivers pulling their service yesterday, causing mass disruption after one of their colleagues were killed in what is said to be a reprisal killing.
Mr. Holness who is at the United Nation in New York, said in a statement that it is clear that indiscipline on our roads has now reached a level where it is a threat to our economy and public order and safety.
He said he has directed the Minister of security and the security forces to take firm action in this regard and to ensure that the incidents are thoroughly investigated and those responsible feel the full force of the law.
He is also wishing to allay the fears of the drivers of the JUTC that all is been done to guarantee their safety.
He further went on to congratulate PSTEb for their work.
