State of Emergency declared in St. Catherine

BREAKING NEWS FROM THE LBC NEWS CENTER.

The Government has declared a limited State of Emergency in North St. Catherine. Thats the word from prime Minister Andrew Holness in a Press Conference held at Jamaica House this morning.The State of Emergency is set to start Today and last for an initial Fourteen Day period.

Speaking at the same Press Conference, Acting Commissioner of Police Clifford Blake, said that the security forces will be going after the PNP affiliated Clansman Gang who has been terrorizing the Citizens in St. Catherine.

This second declaration of a Limited State of Emergency comes on the heels of the first one that is still ongoing in St. James.

When quizzed on whether the St. Catherine North Police Division, is the leading Division in terms of murders for this year, DCP Blake said yes it was.
