Health and Wellness Minister, Dr Christopher Tufton, says he’s received reports of several people who’ve just arrived in the country, breaking quarantine orders.
Minister Tufton says authorities will ramp up the enforcement of the Disaster Risk Management order, to ensure people adhere to the measures.
He was addressing a Virtual media conference on COVID-19 last evening.
He says stronger actions are needed to ensure more people adhere to the measures.
He says it’s not possible for the security forces and the government to enforce all the orders.
It’s why Dr Tufton says personal responsibility is necessary.
Meanwhile, Chief Medical Officer, Dr Jacquiline Bisasor McKenzie is urging everyone to abide by the orders.
She says those who refuse to do so will pay.
