BREAKING THIS HOUR.

LBC NEWS has obtained a copy of a WhatsApp message sent by the Action Committee of the Jamaica Teachers Association (JTA) to  Teachers Islandwide instructing them to go on strike starting this Monday.

The message reads:

Good morning colleagues. The Action Committee decided to commence a sick out on Monday March 12, 2018 to Wednesday March 14, 2018. Do not anticipate a public statement from the JTA this is your call to action. You may contact your Regional Officers, Parish Presidents or District Presidents. Listen to local media for updates after action has commenced. Share only with teachers.

The JTA and the government has locked horns over the unreasonable wage demands been put forward by them. The government has so far remained steadfast in it’s refusal to grant the JTA what it wants.
