Portland

Following the recent heavy rains across sections of the island, Hon. Daryl Vaz, Member of Parliament for Portland Western toured Maidstone, Comfort Castle and other sections of his constituency with the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) to assess the damage and areas isolated by flooding.

The JDF will be deploying a Front End Loader and Bulldozer to clear blocked roads. This will allow for clear passage to communities such as Comfort Castle. The team will also work around the clock to pump flood waters from the affected areas.
