Victim in deadly Portland crash identified

A Portland woman who died from injuries she sustained following a motor vehicle accident along the Snowhill main road in the parish this has been identified.

She is 54-year-old Dawna Williams-Bailey of Windor in the Rio Grande valley. Police reports are that at about 7 a.m. Bailey was a passenger in a Toyota Hiace mini bus traveling in a westerly direction from Port Antonio.

It is reported that while attempting to negotiate a corner the driver lost control of the vehicle resulting in it hitting a guardrail and overturning. Bailey was flung from the vehicle.

The driver who received minor injuries was taken to hospital, treated and released.
