Woman stabbed trying to cool dispute

ST ANN, Jamaica — A 33-year-old woman was stabbed to death in St Ann last night, while allegedly trying to quell an argument between two teenagers in Nine Miles, St Ann.

Reports from the police are that Loretta Nelson, who is a farmer, was stabbed at about 7:10 pm Sunday evening after she intervened in an argument between her daughter and another teenager in the community.

Reports are that the teenage girls, ages 14 and 16, were involved in an argument when Nelson’s daughter reported the matter to Nelson.

Nelson was reportedly stabbed with a scissors when she intervened in the quarrel.
